Short Story: Vampire-Gothic
The infamous vampire, Dagon, has kidnapped yet another girl for his pleasure. Although most of the village has turned a blind eye, the girl's brother refuses to let the fiend have his sister, and thus vows to rescure her.

The young man sprints through the forest, desparately trying to find his sister, Emily, be she dead or alive, when he arrives at the vampire's private domicile, a white dilapidated house in the clearing of the woods.

He finds the fiend on the terrance, soaking in the moon, drinking a glass of red wine. Fearing the red liquid could be his sister's blood, he fashions wooden branches into weapons and steels himself for battle.
